About This Station

The station is powered by an Ambient Weather AW-1090 weather station. The data is collected every 48 seconds and the site is updated every 5 minutes. This site and its data is collected using a Meteobridge weather server running on a TP-Link TL-MR3020 platform. The station is comprised of an anemometer, a rain gauge and a thermo-hydro sensor situated in optimal positions for highest accuracy possible, which is fairly limited in a residential environment. The sensors are mounted on a recycled steel chain-link fence post placed in a portable concrete pad on a sand bed.

About The Site

The station is situated in a residential back yard in McDowell Mtn Ranch in Scottsdale, Arizona, on the alluvial fan of Thompson Peak in the McDowell Mountains. The station is in a small clearing between some trees and boundary walls.
